Schedule a trial run. To achieve the best results, we recommend scheduling a trial airbrush tanning session. You may want to sample the color to see how your skin reacts. That way you can go darker or lighter for that special day. Make sure that your spray tan technician is experienced and listens to your needs. We've heard the horror stories-- too orange, streaks, faded too soon. Schedule your appointment 48 hours before your event. It takes about 24 hours for your tan to fully develop. The instant color you get after your session is a cosmetic bronzer formulated to give you instant gratification. When you shower you will notice the bronzer washing away down the drain. Have no fear, the DHA is already working its magic. For that reason you don't want to get dressed for your special event right after getting a spray tan. Unless you get a rapid tan (2 hours) you do not want to risk ruining your dress with solution stains induced by fricition and sweat. Yuck! Call us and we will determine the best plan of action.
Exfoliate! Scrub your body from head to toe to slough off the dead skin cells. This will allow the tan to "stick" and last longer. Remember, the tan fades as dead skin cell shed. By exfoliating you buy some time.
