The Evening Ritual of Skincare
Recently, I wrote about my belief that skincare is a ritual. Every evening, I open up my "tool kit" of natural skincare products to customize the nightly ritual that cleanses, exfoliates, nourishes, heals and moisturizes my skin.
Using Tuel Skincare, we developed this 2-minute ritual that includes 3-4 simple steps. Remember, you must use the product formulated for your skin type.
Step 1- CLEANSE: I love using the Tuel Balancing Act 2-step process for cleansing my combination skin type. The non-pore clogging cleansing oil removes make-up while stimulating circulation and affixing to the dirt and oil deep within the pores. Next the herbal toner breaks down the cleansing oil and gently finishes removing the dirt, makeup and pollutants. This cleansing process leaves the skin refreshed without drying the skin. Rinse and wipe down gently with a wash cloth. (1 min)
Step 2 –NOURISH: The Tuel Botanical Boosters are like vitamins for your skin. I use the booster 2-3 times a week. These are antioxidant rich cold pressed essential oils formulated for your skin type. (20 sec)
Step 3- HYDRATE: Tuel’s Hydrate XS 1000 is formulated with sodium hyaluronate that deeply penetrates the skin to support collagen and elastin where wrinkles form. The addition of green tea, a powerful antioxidant and free radical fighter make this a superior serum that keeps the skin hydrated, soft and supple. (20 sec)
Step 4 – MOISTURIZE: Tuel’s Special Delivery or Moisture Plus are great creams to polish off your evening skincare ritual. Apply after Hydrate to lock in moisture and strengthen the skin. (20 sec)
This daily skin ritual can easily be modified depending on your needs and time constraints. Always cleanse and moisturize at minimum (Step 1 and 4). You can reduce your ritual to 3 steps by removing the Botanical Booster (Step 1,3 and 4). Integrate Step 2 or the Tuel Botanical Boosters as an added infusion of nutrition two times a week. Or supplement the cleansing oil/ herbal toner with the Tuel Power Scrub 1-3 times per week for some deep exfoliation.
This is what I do every night. What do you do as part of your skincare ritual?
Cheers!
